Coaching Philosophy

My objective as a tennis professional is to develop the emotional, physical and mental abilities of my students. I aim to establish a safe learning environment, as well as a healthy coach-athlete relationship, built upon trust and mutual respect.

Lessons plans are designed for each private and group lesson to manage practice time and facilitate students' achieving learning objectives. The PTR's Open, Closed, Open methodology will be applied to teach students how to (1) Serve, (2) Return, (3) Rally from Baseline to Baseline, (4) Approach in order to volley, and (5) Defend against the approach in order to volley. In addition, lessons are structured to teach students how to think strategically in high pressure situations that mimic game play. By having practice simulate live play, students will be able to effectively learn and master the tactics and techniques needed to compete on a high performance level in tournament play.
