Learn
Private and Semi Private Lessons set the tone of learning tennis. At this stage of development, students learn and practice new skills in an environment that allows time for major tactical and technical corrections. Private lessons help the coach continue to develop their skills in a group setting, like clinic, because terminology for techniques and tactics are established at this stage. Students that take privates and enroll in clinics will be able to maximize their clinic time and learning.
Develop
Clinic Practices provide the student a social outlet and space where learning is done while cooperating with a peer group. This stage allows players to further develop and reinforce skills learned and practiced in privates. With the coach's attention divided among a group, major personal tactical and technical mistakes are not usually resolved without private or semi-private lessons.
Apply
Practice Matches personally scheduled by students and parents allow for the tennis athlete to apply what they've learned in privates and clinics in match play. This stage of learning helps to develop confidence in tactics and technique, so that they will be able to execute them in tournament play.
Refine
Tournament Play is the final stage of development in this program. The tennis athlete will refine the tactics and techniques previously learned in privates, developed in clinics, and applied in practice matches. Tournament play exposes the strengths and weaknesses of the tennis athlete. This form of environment, which is highly competitive, will solidify the internalization of learned tactics and techniques practiced at other stages.
